A bonded hardwood floor takes careful coordination of the surface, adhesive and wood. We review that system before installation, with a written scope covering the preparation and finishing your space needs.
A THOUGHTFUL INSTALLATION
Treat the floor as a system.
The flooring, adhesive, primer and any moisture-control layer need to be compatible. We use the relevant product instructions to plan the installation rather than treating adhesive as a generic add-on.
Prepare before bonding.
Concrete may need grinding, patching or leveling before adhesive is applied. The required work depends on the exposed surface and moisture assessment. Preparation and adhesive materials are identified in the quote.
Allow for product-specific timing.
Adhesive working time, curing, traffic and any radiant-heat restrictions depend on the selected system. We discuss access and the installation schedule before you need to use the space again.
Is glue-down hardwood suitable for radiant heat?
Only when the flooring, adhesive and heating system allow it under their specifications. We review compatibility and operating requirements before agreeing to an installation; no method is universally suitable.
